Anyone who knows me knows I love junk food. I’m a burger and fries kind of girl. I’m a chili cheese dog and chili cheese fries for dinner. Nachos. Yes. I love anything fried and anything that comes with a dipping sauce. Going vegan was just a matter of ingredient substitutions and alternatives to my favorite foods. Over the past 3 months I still ate a lot and late at night, I still ate french fries sometimes twice in one day, I still drank wine at night…and I lost 15 pounds, my skin quality improves, my mood elevated (and stayed there!) and I LOST 15 POUNDS. All my pants are too big. I can’t wait for the summer. Some of my favorite vegan alternatives for junk food are Tofurky sausage, Boca vegan burger, vegannaise (EFFING DELICIOUS - and here’s a shock, low fat and and rich in essential nutrients. It’s mayo that’s vitamins. Fucking think about that.) Earth balance (butter) and did you know you can make ice cream and cheese from rice/almond/soy/coconut milk? Cheese and ice cream from non-cow milk, it’s simple people! How the fuck is some rice milk or ground beans more disgusting than banyard animal pus filled calf food and dead flesh and meat? Please. The answer is clear. Go vegan.
